Snow days are excellent for creative spurts. I've had a lot of fun making new pages. Although I have to admit that a few days into it, cabin fever struck and I became very restless. But, I've been back to work for a week now (oh boy, that's been an adventure), so of course I'm back to crossing my fingers for a snow day. :)
The new TAAFOMFT challenge is up...theis time we want to know, what's your favorite scent or aroma? Mine's coffee. I've always loved the smell, though I've only recently come to love the flavor. And coffee makes me think of a great Chris Rice song, so automatic title! Yay! Oh, and my friend Jeannine is the GDT this month! Double yay!
I'm still being inspired by the most recent challenge over at the Creative Type. This time, I used a border punch to cut the strips at the bottom of the page, and slathered gesso on them. Then I thought that something was missing, so I threw on some sequins. And gesso-slathered again. (The whole process sounds much messier than it really was.)
You might remember this photo from a post back in December. The journaling comes from something I posted on Facebook. Good news -- she still hasn't clawed my face off for this.
This was was quick and just for fun...best vocational department yearbook photo ever.
Angie hosted a "you lift me up" challenge over at SIStv over the weekend (remember, that's when I had all sorts of time), so I made this. The blue tag tucked behind the Hambly woodgrain lists our travels over Christmas break.
Well, that's all for now! I'm looking forward to an evening with friends at one of my favorite restaurants. And a 3-day weekend! :) And quite possibly a finished closet. Hmmm...I think I want to look for pretty bedroom things this weekend.
Also, have you noticed that I've been a very good blogger lately? I've posted every day since December 27th. Yes, I'm proud of this accomplishment...any suggestions for future posts? I don't want to run out of things to talk about. :)
