I'll be back shortly.

I'm just sorta, kinda internet-less at the moment. I'm only able to get online once a day, but that's alright. We'll be reconnected soon enough.

And, only two more days of school! I'm so ready for summer. And maybe a few days of sleeping in.

Be back soon!

Here it is...

Take 3 was much improved. Except my hair was doing this weird flippy thing on one side. Oh well, no need to be too picky. :)

I promise I know how to use a video camera

I know I promised a video of the house. I haven't forgotten you. So far, I've filmed two tours.

The first one, somehow I only recorded the 2nd half of the tour.

The second one looked like Cloverfield. I had to lie down after watching five minutes of it.

I will try one more time. I will hold the camera still, and I will push the record button.

And when that is all over, I will pull out the random orbit sander, and start sanding the walls. Venetian plaster paint is a horrible thing. It's bumpy in some places, cracked in some places, and slick in other places. And it's all over the living room, kitchen, and hallway. And it's peach.

In other news, we spent 4 hours in IKEA over the weekend. Sigh. Love. Trip #2 is being planned. :)

Today was eventful

I didn't go to work. Did I catch "Senior-itis"? Possibly, but that's not the reason I stayed home.

Someone wanted our autographs. Several copies, to be exact.

But in the end, for all that signing (and signing, and signing), we wound up with this:

And just to be clear, that key comes with it's very own house. :)

So yeah. We have a house. Mike described the process as a strange mix of "ecstatic and melancholy". I have to say that I agree. There is some work to be done to the place, a few odd things that we noticed tonight (baseboards that were not attached to the wall, some vents that serve no purpose), and some very nice ones (the sounds of frogs croaking tonight, a rustic sled nailed to the shed).

I hope I don't bore you with talk of paint samples and sanding (which apparently will make up a significant portion of my life in the coming weeks). Hopefully I'll get to share some video tomorrow. In the meantime, here are a few photos...

...of the basement...

...the living room...

...and one of the bedrooms. Half of which will be my scrap area. I hope I like pink. :)

Oh how I've missed them!

I get to hang out with these lovely ladies because they're all going to be in town tomorrow night! I miss them so much! Can't wait to finally see them again!

I did some scrapping.

Just a few things I've been working on lately. I did most of them of them over the weekend. I'm so glad to be back out of the scrapping rut (for now).

My day at the races, and my...um...beginner's...luck...? :)

My friend Kate. I miss having her around. Oh, and my first attempt with spray paint.

I made this one for all of the Living Social lists I'm making of Facebook -- they're so addicting! The rest of the album can be found here.

Mike at the Raggedy Ann 5K. The rest of of the photos are here.

Oh, and my big news. We're buying a house!!! We're set to close next week. I pulled these photos off of the online listing.

I made this one a while ago, but still wanted to share. I love puffy paint. :)

Wow...I've posted three days in a row! Hopefully I'll have #4 tomorrow.

Jim Croce

Kinda bummed at the moment because I'm missing the first CD in my Jim Croce Definitive Collection CD. Thank goodness for YouTube. My mom introduced me to his music about 10 years ago. One of my favorite artist ever. Enjoy!

I know it's a day late...

...but...

I made my husband go with me to Starbucks so we could get this shot. Any excuse to go there, right?

Also, if you drink Starbucks (or coffee-based drinks in general), here's a question for ya. I normally drink mocha, but lately I think they're too sweet. I still like for my drink to be somewhat sweet, but not as much as a mocha. What drink do you recommend?
