Snow day, I think I love you.

Massive school closings across the area.  A 5:10 am automated phone call.  The inability to go back to sleep after said phone call.

I love snow days.

This was the view from our porch this morning.

Today has consisted of practicing basic Spanish (Mike is trying to learn), coffee (of course!), Saved by the Bell, fretting about my mom driving home from work in bad weather (she made it home safely, I'm very happy to report), and building an army of tiny snowman.

Yes, an army of tiny snowmen.  I planned to do this when the first snow of the year fell, but the snow wasn't the right kind...too fluffy to pack.  But, this one was perfect.  So I started...I'm not finished yet, but I'll give you a sneak peak of what I've done so far.  (Ha -- I almost typed "snow far".)

Oh, and Lola has a new favorite treat.  It's not exactly snow cream, but at least it's not yellow.  :)

Have a great day!  If you're dealing with snow, I hope you stay warm!

The mini snow people are TOO CUTE! We got the automated call last night, so we were able to sleep in without any alarming phone calls today! Enjoy your snow!
