Accomplishment + Joy + New Music

Mike's work Christmas party was tonight.  I'm very proud of myself -- I think this was the first time I spent more time mingling than I spent with him.  Normally, I'm clingy in social situations.  I did well.  Go me.  :)

Joy 7: Leftover flowers.  I had my students design packaging for "shipping" a carnation.  (In this case, shipping is loosely defined as putting a flower in a box you made with some sort of watering method of your design for 24 hours.  Oh, and the box might get tossed around a bit.)  These were left over from the project.  Pretty pretty.

Joy 8: New reading material.  I am not the avid reader I wish to be.  But, comic books count.  Neil Conan on NPR's Talk of the Nation said so today.  :)  The newest volume of The Walking Dead showed up on our porch yesterday.  Mike has already finished it.  I've been exhausted and busy, so I'm only a few pages in.  It's something to be savored, because the next volume won't be out for several more months.

Jen posted on her blog about a Christmas song she heard in Starbucks, but couldn't identify.  This song showed up in the comments (though I don't think it's the song she was talking about).   This video is cute + adorable x infinity.  Enjoy!
