Today was eventful

I didn't go to work. Did I catch "Senior-itis"? Possibly, but that's not the reason I stayed home.

Someone wanted our autographs. Several copies, to be exact.

But in the end, for all that signing (and signing, and signing), we wound up with this:

And just to be clear, that key comes with it's very own house. :)

So yeah. We have a house. Mike described the process as a strange mix of "ecstatic and melancholy". I have to say that I agree. There is some work to be done to the place, a few odd things that we noticed tonight (baseboards that were not attached to the wall, some vents that serve no purpose), and some very nice ones (the sounds of frogs croaking tonight, a rustic sled nailed to the shed).

I hope I don't bore you with talk of paint samples and sanding (which apparently will make up a significant portion of my life in the coming weeks). Hopefully I'll get to share some video tomorrow. In the meantime, here are a few photos...

...the living room...

...and one of the bedrooms. Half of which will be my scrap area. I hope I like pink. :)

So excited for you Bekka!!! I remember when we bought our house we came home and laid on the floors and thought about all of the things that we could do (like paint polka dots on the wall) if we wanted to. That "it's all ours feeling" is the best isn't it? CONGRATS again.
